Filipino Rum X Caribbean Tiki: Another reason to celebrate the Caribbean-Southeast Asian bond, uniting two cultures through fun and celebration

Filipino bartenders played an important role not only in getting the Caribbean tiki cocktail culture off the ground, but in preserving and spreading its knowledge and legacy over the years, which is now getting well-deserved attention and recognition. With rum as the star spirit of the tiki, and the Filipino liquor brands dominating the rum market recently (and the go-to source for the best tiki cocktails in its canon), the rum itself is yet another reason why the Philippines, a country in Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean are bonded and forged in brotherhood - united geographical regions thousands of miles apart with celebration, culture, and the love for recreation.#SustainablyCAC #AmazinglyECSEAC

Single tourist visa for entire Caribbean region proposed

A single Schengen-style visa offering travel across the entire Caribbean region has been mooted by Jamaica Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett.

A single CARICOM visa has ‘huge economic potential ‘and ‘is something that we’ve been talking about’ Bartlett said.

He says, it would create a single common airspace where airlines would pay a single fee.

The region once trialled a similar scheme for the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup. Fans were able to travel between the nine host countries on a single visa for nearly three months. #SustainablyCAC #AmazinglyECSEAC
